Discover the heart of the Balkans on an 8-day guided motorcycle tour through Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Starting from the Adriatic coast, the journey combines spectacular mountain roads, deep canyons and remote highlands with the rich history and cultural contrasts of Sarajevo and Mostar. Designed for experienced riders, Bosnia Discovery blends rewarding motorcycle riding with authentic Balkan culture, carefully selected accommodation and the freedom to experience one of Europe’s most fascinating regions beyond the usual tourist routes.

Highlights

National parks: Crossing five national parks during the entire tour.

POIs: Visiting 12+ major attractions, depending on the weather during selected departure.

  • TOUR DURATION: 8 days vacation, 6 riding days

  • TOTAL DISTANCE: ~1580km for entire trip

  • RIDING TIME: Average time riding is 4-5 hours per day with the daily distance 170-250km (plus stops and coffee breaks)

  • START / END: Tivat, Montenegro. Nearby airports: Tivat (MNE), Podgorica (MNE), Dubrovnik (HR)

  • DIFFICULTY: Medium - Advanced. You should have skills riding in variable weather conditions. Also some of the roads are pretty old, they have sand and cracks. at least of 7 years or riding experience is required.

  • ACCOMMODATION: We'll stay in cozy hotels (4*) and chalets, single occupation per room (or double for couples).

  • ROADS: 100% tarmac. We'll be riding selected roads, winding mountains roads and passes, Yugoslav era backroads, serpentines. That will be all tarmac, but conditions can vary.

  • PARTICIPANTS: small group of 5-7 motorcycles

PRO LEVEL GROUPS

We also offer a PRO-level variation of this tour, designed for riders with extensive riding experience and prior motorcycle travel in different regions. This version is intended for solo riders only; due to the technical nature of certain routes and the increased difficulty, two-up riding is not permitted so that safety can be closely monitored throughout the journey. PRO-level riding involves longer days, a more active pace, and more demanding roads. If this is your first group motorcycle tour, we recommend the standard version instead — it is equally scenic and rewarding, while offering a more relaxed rhythm that is better suited for couples and riders new to international touring.

Motorcycles

On this tour, we ride motorcycles from Yamaha’s Tracer lineup. Depending on rider height, experience, and preference, motorcycles are allocated from either the Tracer 7 (72hp) or Tracer 9 (117hp) category — both designed for long-distance comfort, confidence on mountain roads, and full-day riding. All motorcycles are fully equipped for touring with identical luggage capacity and carefully prepared to the same riding standard.

Selected motorcycles are also available with Yamaha’s Y-AMT automated transmission, offering effortless gear shifting for riders who prefer it. Limited availability.

What you see

Our journey includes driving on winding mountain roads and passing through scenic national parks. Roads which are not normally travelled by average tourists and selected by us in accordance to the riding conditions and time of the year. Also, part of the tour is experiencing local cuisine and visiting historical sites, and spending time with locals.

Your guide

Our tours are led by experienced riders with 10 to 20 years of international riding experience, gained across a wide range of terrains — from steep alpine mountain passes to desert landscapes and long-distance touring routes.

This depth of experience ensures we understand not only the roads, but also group dynamics, safety, pacing, and how to adapt to changing weather or route conditions.

All tours are conducted in English.

  • Group riding experience
  • Experience of riding in various weather conditions
  • Full set of riding gear (can be rented from us)
  • International medical / health insurance for the duration of the trip

Two-Up Comfort Package — from €2160 (Available on non-PRO tours only)

This package is added to the base rider price and includes:

  • Designed specifically for two-up riding, ensuring comfort, stability, and safety throughout the trip
  • Automatic upgrade to higher tier motorcycle for improved two-up performance
  • Upgraded accommodation (double rooms of a higher category)
  • Passenger included in all social and experience elements

PRO-level tours are limited to single riders per motorcycle due to the technical nature and complexity of the routes.

Optional add-ons:
